new for 2023, the fender custom shop introduces the limited edition custom 62 strat journeyman relic, with the special combination of a two-piece select ash body, roasted quatersawn maple neck and a flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard for sweet sounding midrange, tight lows and a bit of extra snap on the top end. lightly worn, journeyman relic finishes in aged natural, vintage blonde, aged black and bleached three-color sunburst are paired with gold closet classic hardware for a timeless, elegant look. taking cues from celebrated golden-era stratocasters, the 60s-style oval "c"-shaped neck starts out thin near the nut and gradually fills out towards the 12^th fret for a full, comfortable feel.

the three-ply black pickguard is loaded with a set of hand-wound fat 64 strat pickups - with a rwrp middle pickup and a reverse angle bridge pickup - and fat 50s blender wiring for easy access to additional tones. the gold custom shop synchronized tremolo rounds out the classic look and delivers unmatched playability and tone.
